One file can be shared, accessed, and edited easily within a group of people.

More specifically, even though you might be miles from your co-worker, Google Sheets lets you add and edit as a team in real-time. Granted, you’ve probably used it countless times before, so you’ll know that Sheets is also a simple way to get organized and manipulate data.

Even better, the recent Salesforce and Google integration Sheets Lightning Component from SalesforceLabs was created to customize collaborative efforts even further. The recent integration means both Salesforce and Google inform each other, saving you time and sweat.

Google Sheets exposes visual data

In case you’re not familiar with Google Sheets, it’s an online spreadsheet app. (Read the easy three-step getting started primer here on Google Support.)

With this app, your data is the star of the show. Bright charts and graphs work to dress your statistics up, while conditional formatting, built-in formulas, and pivot tables makes data sing. Not to mention the added benefit of an endless supply of Sheets templates.

You can access any Sheet from anywhere — your laptop, tablet, or mobile phone — no Wi-Fi connection needed. Sheets encourages crowd-sharing and expediting group data-gathering. Or, if you prefer to work alone, you can choose to share your Sheet with co-workers at your leisure.

There’s no need to hit “save,” since your data is auto-saved with every online edit. Instead of banging your head on your desk because you accidentally deleted data two days ago, you should pat yourself on the back! A unique feature of Sheets is that you can access your entire revision history at any time, so no need to stress if a number gets lost somewhere.

Additionally, but not least important, Sheets is woven tightly with the rest of the Google world. So if you need to translate a cell in Sheets from Italian, just use the code “GOOGLETRANSLATE().” Or if you add “IMPORTDATA,” you can add information from anywhere on the internet. The Google brand is a strong entity, allowing for innumerable options for pulling information into Sheets.

The newest integration


You can always rely on Salesforce to ensure your success by providing you with the latest integrations and customizations of Google tools. Google Cloud holds the apps from G Suite (like Gmail, Calendar, Hangouts, and Drive — all which Salesforce has integrated). Most recently, Salesforce Labs and Google enthusiastically partnered up again to create the newest Google Apps integration solution — Salesforce for Sheets.

Competitive features stud Google Sheets through and through. As stated above, you have access to view, edit, and delete all Sheets data through the Salesforce integration. Even more, you can sync all that data back to Sales Cloud in real time. The Sheets synthesis supports special Google and Salesforce customizations. Additionally, all Sales Cloud customers have access to the Salesforce for Sheets beta version.
